CLASS IX
As you are aware, the CBSE has issued Circular No. Acad - 05/2018 dated 31.01.2019 on the restoration of Board examination for class X and revised assessment structure and examination for classes IX and X in all the CBSE affiliated schools.
The Assessment structure for class IX
(A) Internal Assessments (20 marks)
- 1. Periodic Assessment (10 marks weightage)
There will be 3 periodic written assessments in the academic year in the month of July (Pre midterm), September (midterm) and December (post midterm). The best of two will be taken. The syllabus for periodic assessments will be cumulative i.e
- i. Pre midterm (July test) – 25% Syllabus (approx)
- ii. Midterm (Sept Exam)
- 2. Note book submission (5 marks weightage)
- 3. Subject enrichment activities – 5 Marks
- a. Maths - Lab activities and project prescribed by CBSE/NCERT
- b. Science – Practicals prescribed by CBSE in curriculum
- c. Social Science – Maps and Projects prescribed by CBSE in curriculum
- d. Languages – Activities to develop effective speaking and listening skills

The Assessment structure for class X
(A) Internal Assessments (20 marks)
- 1. Periodic Assessment (10 marks weightage)
There will be 3 periodic written assessments in the academic year in the month of July (Pre midterm), September (midterm) and December (post midterm). The best of two will be taken. The syllabus for periodic assessments will be cumulative i.e

- ii. Midterm (Sept Exam) – 50% Syllabus(approx)
- iii. Post midterm (Dec test) – 75% Syllabus (approx)
- 2. Note book submission (5 marks weightage)

- b. Science – Practicals prescribed by CBSE in curriculum
- c. Social Science – Maps and Projects prescribed by CBSE in curriculum

(B) Final written Exam in March (80 marks)
