ABS Group of Schools, Thiruvallur celebrated Parents Pongal Carnival on 7th January 2023 at ABS Vidhya Mandhir campus. Pongal is a harvest festival which is celebrated to thank the Sun God and Lord Indra for helping farmers in getting better crops. 17 events namely Rangoli, Drawing, Cookery [Fireless], Aarthi Plate Decoration, Mehndi, Group Dance& Solo Dance, Group Singing & Solo Singing, Odi Odi Ozhaipom, Obstacle Race, Jewellery Making, Treasure Hunt, Dubsmash, Just a minute Speech, Dum Dum Airport [Lucky Corner], Blowing Balloon, Tug of War and Uriyadi for parents, took place on that day. Winners were rewarded on the same day. Overall, the Pongal celebration in our school, is a true manifestation of our rich culture and traditions & it indeed took place in a splendid manner.
