World Chess Day was celebrated on July 20th at ABS Vidhya Mandhir in a grand manner to promote the game of chess and the benefits like ability to improve critical thinking, problem solving skills and memory. Our Kindergarten and primary students held the chess coins and gave speeches in English and Tamil on the significance of the day. Our students of Classes XI & XII gave a power point presentation on chess. A chess game was also conducted for the students to celebrate the day.
Thus, we shall not only keep the elegant tradition of chess but make chess the most popular sports in the world!
