To acknowledge the contribution and to honour our saviour’s effort, Doctors’ Day was celebrated in ABS Vidhya Mandhir, Thiruvallur with great zeal on 1st July, 2023. The occasion commemorates the spirit of doctors across the globe who works day and night to ensure the well-being of patients.
Our Pre KG to Class III students took part in the celebration. The program was conducted to raise awareness among the students about daily life and healthy diet. The Chief Guest of the day was Dr. Prabhu Shankar, M.B.B.S, D.C.H, Child specialist in Govt Hospital, Thiruvallur.
The doctor gave a speech that focused on the goals, mental health, responsibilities of the doctors, the qualities that make a good doctor and a healthy diet. The speech was followed by an interactive Q & A session. Dr. Prabhu Shankar also gave interesting answers to the various questions asked by the students. As a token of love, a pencil art of the doctor’s photo was presented to him by Rogith of Class IX. Role play is essential to fire up students’ creativity and imagination. Keeping this in mind, students of LKG and UKG dressed up as doctors and played a role of various speciality doctor very well, they gave speeches on first aid kits, medical abbreviations, equipments used in the hospital etc. Through this activity children learnt the Importance of health care. To express gratitude to all the doctors, the KG children were made to sit in the shape of 'D+'.
The celebration of Doctor's Day made an essential contribution to the overall holistic development of the students and also created awareness among the children about the importance of doctors in our lives.
